Jacques Feyder's Visages d'Enfants, Faces of Children, shot in the Swiss Valais and told almost entirely from a boy's point of view as he loses his mother and refuses to accept the woman who replaces her. One of the few silent films that treats a child's grief as the whole subject rather than a complication.
The poster puts three children against the mountains in flat blocks of colour, closer to a woodcut than a photograph. Someone has written across the top of this sheet in pencil, dated January 1930.
