Mappemonde-Film, 1925. Rene Clair's The Phantom of the Moulin Rouge, in which a man's spirit walks out of his body and goes wandering through Paris while the body stays behind. The poster answers that with a giant translucent head, disembodied hands and a city rendered in flat red and blue.
Early French cinema at its most inventive, and a piece of graphic design that would not look out of place on a record sleeve fifty years later. With Sandra Milowanoff and Georges Vaultier.
