A calavera de azúcar painted the traditional way: red blossoms in the eye sockets, a cream skull covered in teal, gold and red scrollwork, and a gilded frame of leaves and flowers rising around it.
Sugar skulls are made for Día de los Muertos, November 1 and 2, when families in Mexico welcome back the loved ones they have lost. This one works just as well for Halloween or any day of the year.
